Didn't have anything better to do, started EMT-B in 1999, fell in love with emergency medicine, then joined a small rural fire dept., and have continued to volunteer since then in many different small towns. I am currently an EMT-II, Rescue Tech, and Basic Firefighter in rural Alaska.
