The obvious factors; speed & driving ability. Oh! and two more things, if his brakes locked up, where's the smoke (at that speed there should have been) and with locked up brakes, he wouldn't have been able to make the turn like he did. As in most...

Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
I had a brother who was killed in a single car accident, near our home. We had a station 1/2 a mile from the house and his accident was almost a mile down the road. We didn't have many volunteers, so after the accident, I recruited 2 of my neighbors and we joined. I know that I nor anyone else may have saved him, but maybe we can help somebody else!

Looking for this EMS gentleman.docxI am looking for the gentleman in the photo whom I believe lives in the area of Georgia. He has done nothing whatsoever wrong, nor am I chasing him for anything, but someone is operating in the UK on the pretence of being him and attempting to extort money from innocent people and I think he should know all about it. After all, this is not only an indictment on him but also on the trust people have in the EMS services (I refer to the attached photo displaying the EMS badge which has been deliberately used to promote his honesty). I know I would want to know if it was being done to me. So if you recognise him, can you please advise me or ask him to contact me directly at english.anniemoon@yahoo.co.uk or phone on 00 44 1566 770 751. If you or the gentleman in the photo would like to call me, I am happy to call you straight back and I will give him all the details on this matter. Stay Safe Annie

Of course I always drive safely and utilize Due Regard. That's why I didn't just hop in front of the cars hoping that they would stop for me. It just irks me that people are either A.) THAT oblivious when operating a motor vehicle, or B.) That unc...

The incident hindered my response by a minute or so which could make all of the difference. In this instance - no, I still made the rig (it was an EMS call). However, the "What If" factor plays a key role - the other drivers passing me didn't know...
