- I grew up around the fire department. I always wanted to be like my mom. She has been a fire fighter for over 25 years. I wanted to do something to help other people. I wanted to do something that people don't think women can/should do. I am very very country.

- I am a proud chirstian. I am in the 11th grade. We do this thing called "Project Graduation". Basically, we pick a subject and do all sorts of research and fun stuff like that for. I just started my project and I chose to do mine on the history of firefighting. So if you have any intersting stories or anything you wouldn't mind me using as a referance in my project, let me know. thanks!! Most people in the other fire departments around mine call me little bit. I LOVE music. I am always reading. I am very creative. Everyone tells me I am to small to be a firefighter. I am ready to graduate high school and go to college to be a RN.

- In my department we have alot of wrecks to respond to. Our biggest issue is people speeding through a fire scene. I have come close to being ran over a few times.

Project Graduation-- History of Firefighting
Ok... I never blog.. but here goes
I am a junior in high school. When we are in the 11th grade we start on this thing called Project Graduation. What we have to do is A)pick a topic that we like B) do a TON of research on the topic C) do all kinds of other stuff in relation to our topic D) Write a 5-8 page paper on it E) and present it to some judges and pray that you do good.

- girl i know what you mean. haha. Guys think just because I am tall and skinny that i can't handle stuff. But in all reality I can handle some things better then them. haha. and I saw what you were doing your project graduation thing on. Well I didnt have to do that but my english teacher made us write a 10 page thesis paper on whatevere we wanted. And i too chose to write on the history of firefighting. And if I find it on my computer I will send it to you and you can pull stuff out of it if you want. =)

That depends on what part of texas your from. Up here in the panhandle you can burn your own house down and its ok as long as you dont try to claim insurance on it.
