Once our newbs are trained and the chief signs him/her off to fight fire they have to stick with the officer or senior ff untill they get some calls and further training under their belt

Ok cool, they are all my NC FF1 and FF2, classes i belive the college only teaches through IFSAC, from what i understand NC FF1/2 are some of the Hardest to Obtain in the Nation due to the 350+ hrs of schooling and that other states use thier curriculam. also i went to schoolf for 2 years in Fire Protection Technology and have graduated will that help me in anyway around there?

Question for ya!!!

I am Moving to the Columbia area in about 2 months i should be there by dec 10, well to be exact i am going to Fort Jackson as my new Duty Station for a few years and i am looking for a Vol Dept to try and join when i get in the area to pick back up in the fire service since it has been a void for me in the last 2 1/2 years except when i went home on leave last year for 20 days and ran a few calls in Nc. i have been looking online google and all types of stuff but to no real avail. if you could help i would appreciate it

Just thought I'd say howdy brother and see how things were out in your neck of the woods. Me, I'm ready for one last day of work tomorrow then a four day weekend up in VA. A visit with the folks and hopefully some fall weather. Hope all is well.
