Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
Some years ago I saw a motorcycle accident happen right in front of me. No one that stopped knew what to do. I hated that feeling and being in that position so I took a First Responder class and joined an area volunteer fire dept.

I am an animal lover and I volunteer for Best Friends Animal Society, Kanab, UT. I am one of their volunteer Community Animal Assistants for Region 2 (Utah, CO, AZ, NM)
I also help transport animals to other rescues/shelters and to their forever homes.
I am a pit bull advocate/rescuer and fight to stop breed specific legislation and descrimination.
I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
I just like the work and like helping others. I enjoy the friends I've made in the service.

no i helped haul supplies down the week after it hit with Pam and then just stayed for a week and helped. we were at the Winn Dixie right out side the 9th ward it was wild. it was just a group of people that got together and started to rescue. it was so bad the national guard posted 2 people at our place 24/7 every were we went military,local law or us marshals were with us for our safety. it was worse than what TV showed but I'd do it again
