Hi Shane, thanks for joining Dirt Trackin Firefighters! Cool, you ran a 358 mod! Do you remember Andy Nicols in the West Penn Mods? I was his crew chief. We ran mostly at Sportsmans Speedway, and Tri-City. I raced a late model at Tri-city in 1985, but couldn't afford to run after that season. Biggest finish was 3rd. Still had a blast though! Be safe brother.

Welcome to the family where the language and reasoning important the Border is not in our work is to save lives regardless of color, religion or social position, much less. The important thing in our work does not need language to communicate, or borders to help.
Greetings from Mexico.
you’re new friend Filiberto.

Shane, welcome to the Nation. I am glad you decided to join the group. Your involvement and input is important to us all. Dont be shy just jump in anywhere and get your feet wet. Lots to do, read and be involved with here. You will get out of this what you put into it. Takes some time to get the hang of it but its well worth the effort. Have fun and be safe.

Of course I always drive safely and utilize Due Regard. That's why I didn't just hop in front of the cars hoping that they would stop for me. It just irks me that people are either A.) THAT oblivious when operating a motor vehicle, or B.) That unc...

The incident hindered my response by a minute or so which could make all of the difference. In this instance - no, I still made the rig (it was an EMS call). However, the "What If" factor plays a key role - the other drivers passing me didn't know...

This is true. It's personally happened to me, I've heard horror stories about it, and someone I work with has even stated that she purposely does this as well. However, if it were her house on fire, or her husband and/or children that needed help,...
