yes my friend we have a rescue truck as well. Our local ambulance services have also a rescue truck and we go out to surport them. There are times that we are quite but most of the time we are indeed busy. We are sometimes in the forest for a week or longer. A few years back we had one hell of a forest fire up in the mountains. Then it is sleep , eat
"bath" in the forest. Our bigest problem with "building" fires is our local black people build their houses form plastic, wood, paper, and zink. They are very crowded and build their "houses" so close to each other and boy oh boy if one caught fire with a strong wind behind you, you have trouble. They store anything in there. From petrolium, gas to any highly flamable liquid. Some times when we got there they think they are the firefighters and want to take your job out of your hands. They also open the fire truck lockers and remove the equipment as they wish. To be a firefighter here in South Africa you must be tough. Some places lack of training, old equipment etc. Well enough of that for now. I would love it if I can get hold of your old and new fire patch. I well send you 2 back in return for it. send me your address and I send you 2 patches right away. You can send me the 2 patches to

Hi Scott yes we have. You must remember we here in South Africa are light years behind the U S A with fire equipment. firefighting here are like a ball and chain for most of our towns and cities here. We serve a area of about 2500 square kilometers with only 3 major fire trucks,( 2 very old Dennis fire trucks) 2 pickup trucks for grassfires, a
GMC fire truck, 14 full time firefighters, and about 10 reserve firefighters. (people who work in the electric, water and other departments. One of our Dennis fire trucks was brought over from England (rubbish dump) and build up again. As for the fire patches It does not matter if it is an old one I still like it. greetings from south africa
