About Me:
The San Diego Firefighters' Emerald Society is a fraternal organization enjoying Gaelic heritage and sharing goodwill through philanthropic activities and increasing Fire Service and Public Safety awareness in our community. We are an IRS approved non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization and constantly strive to support the rich and honorable traditions of the Fire Service.

Emerald Society membership is open to active and retired Fire Fighters with Auxiliary opportunities for non-fire service people committed to supporting the charter and mission of the Society. Although celebrated, Gaelic heritage is by no means a requirement to membership.

- Active Member: Active or retired members of any San Diego area Fire Department.
- Associate Member: Active or retired members of other Fire Department.
- Auxiliary Membership: Non-fire service personnel whom wish to support the society.
- Friends of the Emerald Society: Individual or businesses whom support the society through donations.

I have personally seen biphasic AEDs at a local University where you insert a key to reduce the dose of joules for peds and hook up the adult (and only) pads in the case and let the AED analyze and go from there. There's lots of different models ...
