- My name is Sam I like to spend time with my fiance and friends. I also like to watch a good movie when I can, and read a good book. But I really like to train at the Firehouse and learn as much as I can about firefighting and hopefully one day be able to go fulltime some where.

- Nice so your a newbie...=o) So you guys have a pretty high call volumne out there? It all depends here. I live in Stockton,CA...where the calls are many! and then I will test for Mokelumne Fire out of Lockford,CA (about 25 mins away) and thier call volumne isn't nearly that of Stockton. Where I just got laid off from, Dietrich Metal Framing, I'd see the engines roll by atleast 5 times a day in my direction...that doesn't count other areas they could of been headed to during the day.... that station gets a lot of calls on a daily average.

That's kool, I'v ebeen in love with fire for several years now. it's been a process with havign to work full time and other crap that you have to take care of after work. but i just go laid off, so im kicking it into full drive now!!! loving it!!! soon ill have my dream job and go to a job where the work load is undetermined and kind of adventure daily and leave satisfied that I've probably had a call and helped someone in need or didnt have any calls and brushed up on training to better prepare myself for the next day! can't waite!
you take care and keep on keepin' on! Life's a garden, dig it and make it work for you! (joe dirt, a fav movie...but the mans right! lol)
