About Me:
After 20+ years in EMS I am now concentrating on Fire Service (the departments are seperate in my town), as I found there are not enough hours in the day for both. I am president of our state organization and an instructor for the Vermont Fire Academy. That along with being a member of the State Hazmat Response Team take up most of my "spare" time!

I was also a 911 Dispatcher for various police and fire departments for about 20 years. I have the utmost respect for the tough and underappreciated job that they do!

I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
the comaraderie throughout the public safety community.

Let's Help a Brother Firefighter

For the past couple weeks I have been working with someone from the National Marrow Donor Registry to encourage Vermont firefighters to join the registry in support of Firefighter Chris Fretta of the Castleton (VT) Fire Department. It occurred to me this morning that this information needs a wider audience. There has been information on the Nation in the past about the registry, but perhaps it's time for another reminder!

Help Chris & Others!
