- Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
- I joined the WCFD to get that perfect mix or adrenaline and giving back to my community. And like my instructor at State Fire School said, "if you're gonna spend time learning a skill, might as well make it a skill that can save your life or somebody elses."
I also joined the McKenzie County Ambulance when I showed up for the monthly fire meeting a week early. They fed me, and since there is no such thing as a free meal, I became a driver for the ambulance Service. Now I am a Firefighter-NREMT.
