Hey sounds like your having a good summer, working fire towers must be wicked. all the fire towers around here are no longer used, some even taken down. It's nice to hear your on track for what you wanna do. Still getting use to my asst. cheif position being in charge and asked all the questions OMG but its ok. Our calls have been slow Mabe one a week or every other week. Our rescue horse is looking much better now she still a little skinney but comming alongvery well. My daughter has been at horse showes every weekend this summer and doing well. Looking at getting her another horse now as you move along in the show world the horses just keep getting more $$$$$ but its a good way to invest $$. talk with ya latter

Whats happening Sounds like you've been right out straight. We just took in a 20 year old rescue horse that was nothing but skin and bones. the humane socity called us so we figured we could help this poor animal. The guy who had this horse is now in jail charged with animal cruelity and a million other charges. hopefully with some time this horse will put on some weight, it actually looks a little better in just one week. Glad to hear your going to structure firefighting too. I always think structure fires are easier than brush fires. Just got moved up to 1st asst. chief its gonna take a little while to get use to the new possition but I'm sure i can handle it . nothing like a new challange. Take care Hooter

It's a nice spring day here in the adk. mts. taken a break from splitting next years fire wood. Sounds like you have quite the farm sounds like lots of work but i'm sure you love it. We are into brush fire season now lots of calls around us we've only had one so far. had a structure fire the other night on a near by lake by the time it was called in it had been burning for a couple of hours. I guess thats where the expression cellar savers comes from. A little turmoil in our dept. right now might be moved up to 2nd asst. chief. i'm a little nervious i'm a better listner and do er than order giver but I can do it if need be.time will tell. hope all is well in your neck of the woods keep in touch! Hey Rose whats happening! Yea we have a lot of dogs. 1 border collie 2 aussies and 1 mutt from the pound. Border collie is super smart and knows her job instinctively. The aussie FM. are ok but ankle biters if you don't know them just doing their job I suppose. Also have 3 horses as my daughter shows western and english pleasure. That keeps us very involved and broke but lots of fun. As for the sled dogs I have 28 Alaskan huskies lean lanky working machines. I've had dogs for about 25 years. started out racing but for the last 20 years I've done dog sled tours for tourist in the Lake Placid area of N.Y. in the Adirondack MTS. It sure is nice being able to turn something you like to do into a business. Meet lots of people from all over and get to share my dogs with them. Things have been quiet here lately just a few MVAs. What do you farm on your ranch? do you have horses or any other animals. Later for now

Many cities in the US have had problems where the fire dept shows up and had to duck because they had things thrown or dropped from buildings on them. Our engine has had things thrown at it by kids and we live in a area considered mild but they we...
