I saw the post that you put on 'Volunteer Firefighters' group page. Just out of curiosity: How many calls a year do you run between the two departments? Altho I have spent most of my vol. career in Florida, I did spend some time in Evansville,In. and I was a part of a station that ran few calls (by comparison)...So it is hard for me to concieve that in 2 years with 2 departments, you haven't seen a fatal wreck. NOT SAYING YOUR NOT TELLING THE TRUTH!!... It's just wild to think that there are some departments fortunate enouph not to deal with fatalities much. The Firefighter that said 'sweet' about the fatality...how long has he been in? Write back, brother. Laters and be safe.

Rob, welcome to the Nation. I am glad you dropped in to join the group. Dont be shy just jump in anywhere and get your feet wet. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Takes a bit to kinda figure it all out but you will be glad you did. Have fun and look around.
