Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:

I got my first EMT lisc right out of high school. Worked for a BLS co during the late 80`s. Then relocated to Michigan for a job in delivery industry. (aka, my wife at the time didn`t like my job) After a divorce and buyout of the company I managed, I came back to the industry I love. Always wanted to just help people. Sure as Hell isn`t for the money.

In the 80`s, worked for Walker Ambulance in Toledo OH. Ghetto specialitists....Ah, handled just about anything you could imagine with an inner city BLS outfit. Emergent and non emergent medical transports for the coumty (pre-911 system, aka "old guy") Hospital ground transports with speciliazed teams, neonatal, flight, ect. Coronor transport...

Just a dork. I`m the quiet old guy that tosses the jokes out of left field that make others laugh and shake their heads. I love to read history books. I love my scotch and cigars, my grandson & my adult kids. I remarried a nutcase who is as bad as me, a great combo. I love the Blues, volunteer at festivals all over.

PERSONEL SAFETY!....IF YOU DON`T FREAKING GET THERE, YOU DIDN`T HELP ANYONE!! Drive like you DON`T have your head up yer (you know what) and by all means, wear a damned seatbelt!
