Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
I joined our volunteer department just to take photos in 1992 5 months after my husband joined . Soon after that we had a fire that we were pretty short handed on and I was needed on a hoseline even though I had next to no experience. As much as I liked a camera, I liked spraying water more.
