This is the first time I have ever heard of anything like this.. Do they charge a company when it catches on fire and the sprinklers activate and they use water?? I would have a meeting with the water department if nothing can be worked out.. Then...
on Tuesday
It is standard procedure that we do wet line everytime.. get air out of line and check gpm on nozzle. We deal with only 1 and 2 story structures.

Hey Ben did you give us a chance or look at our tools, may I ask where your department is? Plus our guys will come out and let you play with the tools.
November 12
We are in the process of getting rid of our Amkus tools and have replaced all but one set with Genesis tools. The other set is slated for a replacement with Genesis as well.
November 11
Replace it with TNT all compatible and lifetime warranty

Mandy and Patrick are now friends

That nozzle is fine just replace the sticker if ya want. Had one that melted handle and rubber cone off the end of nozzle. Replaced o-rings inside and new handle and shaper cone. It's good as new

Profile Information

Hometown:
Chillicothe
I Live: (City, State)
Chillicothe
Years in Fire/EMS:
6 yrs
Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
Well I just wanted to ride the Big Red Truck and use all the cool tools. Really I wanted to be a Fireman since I was little.. I may be only a volunteer, but theres so much more to it than the community sees. Since I became a FF/EMT it's not been the same. I'll never quit doing what I love.
Relationship Status:
Married
Primary Fire/EMS Department:
Huntington Twp. Fire Department
Department Type:
Fire/Rescue Department - Volunteer, EMS/Rescue Squad - Volunteer
Rank/Role There:
Lieutenant, Firefighter / EMT-Basic, Driver / Engineer
Years With This Department/Agency
6 yrs
My Training:
I'm a level II FireFighter, Basic EMT and HazMat Tech. I have been to Howell Rescue's Extrication training and Bowling Green's 40Hr Heavy Rescue class.
About Me:
Well I'm married with a 2 yr old son. I am a Fire Lieutenant with my department. I work at a Water Treatment Plant.
Day Job:
Water Treatment Plant Operator
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Lack of Responders!! There isn't enough people able to volunteer these days. For the volunteer department's money is a major problem. New guide lines are set every year, but there isn't any money given to help follow the rules.
I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
I get to tear stuff up and knowing that I have helped in the time of need.

Sorry to get back to you so late, it has been a bit busy.

When we had PMs done on our Amkus Jaws we had the below company do the work.. I have no idea if they are better or worse than others but I know our Jaws are working just like they should with no issues. We worked through Diamondback fire rescue – here’s their website:

Hope this helps, Zimm

WOW. The parallels are scary. Working in governmental fire service, I often have to remind myself that not everyone shares our "do whatever it takes" attitude towards progress and customer service. Certainly, I've often said that I can accomplis...
