Remembering 9-11-2001

On 9-11-2001 I was still living in Portland, OR working in a small office with no idea I would someday be a part of the fire service.

When this happened I was still working 12-5 so that morning as usual I was vegging on cartoons or animal planet. My husband the truck driver was in the San Fran Bay area.

He called me just before the 2nd plane hit. I had no idea what was going on. He had me turn on the news and as I was watching the coverage of the first tower...the 2nd plane hit… Continue

Hey!

My name is Amanda and I am trying to figure out what products are best for female firefighters. I have worked as a firefighter for only two years so I am just getting started. Currently I am a student at Eastern Kentucky University in in the Fire & Safety Engineering Technology Program. Although I have only been a firefighter for two years I have had my fair share of small gloves that were still too big and pants that went up to my belly button! I was wondering if you could take the time out of your busy schedule to share some of your favorite/best fitting/most functional products for female firefighters. Weather it’s an awesome fitting pair of pants, A polo shirt that has sleeves that do not go down to your elbows, a pair of great gloves, or boots that have an awesome fit. It would be greatly appreciated if you could share your opinions with me. Thank you very much. Please feel free to e-mail me back at amanda_cherry4@eku.edu or leave me a comment.

Stay Safe,
Amanda Cherry

Howdy darlin! I hope you're having a great day and not too busy. I'm so ready for this warm weather and have been sick of freezin my butt off. Life is crazy and busy over in my neck of the woods but I guess that's a good thing. Not much new other than just doing the whole rebuilding of my life thing. Take care and give me a buzz soon.--Dave
