- Ever since I was a little girl I have had an amazement with firefighters/firefighting that I have never grown out of. I started my training in February of 2001, five days before my 15th B-day and fell in love with the fire service and everything about it.

- I started when I was 14 years old and love it just as much as the day began. As with anything it comes with a few bumbs in the road, but I can honestly say the positive far outweighs the negative.

- Top Issues Facing Responders:
- Too many daredevils. Firefighters who want to go interior too far and too long. All too often I see lives risked and stupid things done to prove just how "Invencible" they are. Staying in too long or not wearing SCBA's. (you look real tough when you exit a structure coughing and puking cause you could "HANDLE" the smoke!) To me if you are not part of the solution, you become part of the problem.
