we use the rescue 42 system and I think they are great. It's one of those things that is only limited by your imagination. They are great for lifting in situations where a car is on top of another and airbags aren't practical.

We did some first aid and "Combat Lifesaver" stuff in the Marines and I really enjoyed it, so I took and EMT course when I got out, and once I was around the fire department a little bit I was hooked.

Top Issues Facing Responders:
I think an issue being faced is the correct use of the 911 system. I'm sure everyone has stories of a cardiac arrest or bad T/A while they were on a call for a tummy ache. I also think funding will always be an issue, particuarly for volunteer/combination departments.
