I was not saying that training burns are the most important, but they are essential. There is alot you can do for little or no money to train firefighters. I was just saying that if money is the reason why they cannot do a live fire, then they nee...

Right Jack? I have total control over my budget every year. Besides making sure the trucks/equipment run, and the electricity/heat are on, I make sure the guys get training. If I have to pay for a course they want, I do. If I have to pay for permi...

Burns in live structures are hard to come by. We have been lucky enough to do one a year for the past 3 or 4 years. We also go to our regional burn building once a year. There must be somewhere you can go for live fire training. Contact your state...

I am an AHA instructor. For Healtcare Provider CPR(EMT's, Firefighters, Nurses, Doctors) you are required to do 2 breaths per 30 compressions for an adult, if you have the proper barrier or oxygen delivery device. BSI is always first and foremost....

We usually run about 180 a year, so our numbers are up. Hope you didn't get your new gear too dirty. I am running for Deputy Chief next year.... have lots of different feelings about that - scared being one of them.

Mike, things are well here in Pa. We hit 200 calls yesterday, our busiest year that I can remember. How is it up there in Blanford?

Chief,
Talked with Tim Kidd our Fire prevention officer. He said the only other thing he would ask of you is if you had two more pair size 10 boots.
I will look for your list on Thursday.
Thank you,

Chief,
I am a size 52 in coat and I have a 46 waist and a 32 inch inseam. My boots need to be about a 13w because of the size of my calfs. We have a need for a 46-48 coat and pants 42 waist and 36 long, size 12 boot. We are corn fed in Northwest Ohio. I do not know if you have helments or nomex hoods but we could use four of them also. I will check but I believe we have enough gloves.
Thank you
