Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
I joined my first department because of a fellow co worker who got me intrested in the trucks. After getting to know a lot of people in the service I relized it was more than just about the trucks and the glory its about the job. That is why I still do it. I love to help people and I am studying to be a Arson Investigator.

Hi Meghan, Welcome to the FFN. This is a cool site for meeting firefighters from all over the world and of course here in the USA. Having been off duty for a couple of months, post knee surgery from a wildland incident... I've had the chance to go through the learning curve and can provide some assistance or at least direct you to the right person. I've had a blast meeting folks and learning about their cultures, fire station life and how they do the same job that I do. It really is a small world.
