About Me:
37 y/o female sporting long, light auburn hair, green eyes, and a grin that’ll make you wonder what I’m thinking about.

If you were to ask my friends what my qualities were (after they'd finished laughing uproariously at you) they'd tell you that I'm extremely loyal, compassionate, optimistic, spontaneous & impulsive. I have a habit of verbalising before considering the ramifications of my verbosity, which sometimes (okay, often) leads to me having to remove the distal portions of my lower extremities from my oropharynx.

I was brought up with a real love and respect of literature, languages and classical music and while I do occasionally indulge in sci-fi, most of what I read comes from authors such as Poe, Wilde and Atwood and .

My passions include escaping to the mountains to hike through the wilderness & I'd rather be above treeline in an electrical storm than stuck in a 'front-country' campground surrounded by motorhomes, trailers and yelling families. I do enjoy roller-blading, biking, working out, reading (of course!), sketching and even spending a quiet night at home.

If you’d like to know more, send me a message. I’ll be sure to get back to you! :o)
Day Job:
What.... you mean I'm paid to work???
Top Issues Facing Responders:
A distinct lack of public education on when to call/not call EMS!
Personal safety - seems more & more we're expected to go into unsafe situations because that's what the public expects us to do!
I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
It's a brotherr/sisterhood that no one can match.

You are welcome. Take care and have a good weekend. We are bracing for Hurrican Ike. It isn't suppose to be too bad here, but it keeps changing. I am in East Texas and the eye is predicted to come straight over us as of last night. We will see Saturday night, Sunday morning. Be safe!
