- I'm also with Hammond Rural Fire Department which is a combo department but I dont do too much with them. My primary department runs a lot of calls with them and thats pretty much the only time I do anything unless they call me and need me to work. Im an operator with them and have been with them for 4 years

- I have IFSAC FIREFIGHTER I, IFSAC HAZ MAT AWARENESS, & LSU FETI CERTIFIED HAZ MAT TECH, Im also working on IFSAC HAZMAT OPS AND TECH, I may also soon be working on my EMT BASIC. Oh yea and I almost forgot I am a first responder.
- About Me:
- I have wanted to be a firefighter basically since the day I was born. My dad is a captain with 27 years on the job with Hammond Fire Dept, and now Ive been with Hammond for 2 years now. At the age of 16 I joined Natalbany Volunteer Fire Dept as a junior firefighter. At the age of 18 I left Natalbany and joined Hammond Rural Fire Department as then became an operator and started working there. Then on January 28th of 2006 my dream came true I had my first day with Hammond Fire Dept. Since then Ive gotten back with Natalbany and stopped doing as much with HRFD, I am also on the auxillary list for Livingston Parish Fire District 2 in Springfield, Louisiana.

I don't understand why they do that either.
This is somewhat of a rant, but also a haven for other people to share their stories correlating to my post as well.
