- Ever since I was a little boy I wanted to be a fire fighter. My step dad was a fire fighter. When I turned 18 I joined the volunteer fire dept. And I have been there ever since. I love being able to help people. And Who doesnt love the addrinaline rush you get when the tone goes off.

- I have several training certificates in my 8 yrs. I have SCBA search and rescue, Search and rescue, Sabine parish under water search and recovery team (dive team), EMT-F (first responder), Jaws training, Flash over, Haz-Matt operations, Arieal opperations, Anti terroism, I have also completed NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800, IS55. And many more certs.
- About Me:
- Hi my name is Chuckie. I am 27 yrs old. I have a wounderful fieance and 2 beautiful daughters. One is 4yrs old and the other is 3 months old. My fire dept consist of 2 stations. One in the Central part of town and the other is on the south side of town. They are combined in to one station since we are volunteer. We have 1 engine (404) holds 1000 gals of water, 1 service truck ( tanker 4103) hold 1500 gals of water, 1 rescue truck holds 500 gals of water, 1 haz-matt trailer, 1 16 ft trailer with a 4x4 Kabota RTV for Haz-matt, 1 arieal truck 1000 gals of water, 1 supper tanker that can also be used as a pumper. It is a Mack with 10 gears high and low range, and holds 3500 gals of water. We also have an F-250 pick up for the Dist Chief (401), and a 1 ton for the asst. Dist. Chief (402). We have a training room A kitchen and bathrooms in both stations.

- Top Issues Facing Responders:
- Not enough respect. Some people just aint nice. They can be so rude. Like what took you so long. is that as fast as you can go. are you the only one comming. stuff like that. It is very seldom do you get a thank you, or you did a nice job from some one. But you learn to go on and do what you have to do. And not worry about how rude people are acting.
- I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
- Being able to help people. and my kids. My 4 yr old loves to go to fires and the fire station with me. she really loves it when i take her riding.
