- I feel strongly that the EMT/Paramedic is an occupation that poignantly comports with my personal interests and temperament--i.e. emergency medicine and health care, assisting people during acute crises, respect and comradery for and amongst emergency/rescue personnel, and the nature of the physical/mental labor involved. It is also a highly effective way of beginning/nurturing a specialized interest in any of a great many of the more advanced occupations within the health field.
