We've got quite the mix, cairns, bullard px and lt, morning pride. Basically whatever was the best price when they got ordered. TCSS Shawn

At my career department, we are issued Cairn's 1010, but members are allowed to by leather helmets out of their clothing allowance if so desired. Most members were either leather Sam Houstons or New Yorkers.

Everyone on our department wears cairns 1010s except the juniors and thge wear modern bullard hemlets

i know what your talking about with it hittin your nose. We all had that problem now but some of us got used to it and the other 2 or 3 of them bought the little nose piece that goes on them. The nose piece is about $8 through 5 alarm fire.

we use cairns 10-10's at our department. Most guys have the standard flip down shield but some of us bought our own with the defenders and the flip down bourkes.

10-10 Defenders here. Im not crazy about the the new sheild for the simple fact the shield hit my nose when it comes down ( But I have a big head) but other then that we love them

Oh man Im sorry to hear that. A week ago we had to assist a fire department in a fatal fire and that one stuck with me for the whole week because it was my old friends parents. but around here we only get about 130 calls a year at max mostly medical. We have about twenty volunteers thats inluding the six officers we have.
