A way to post new firefighting terms and enjoy some firefighting humor at the same time.

Would someone rather have their kids view something graphic or be actually involved in a graphic wreck? Unfortunately, I suspect that most kids will not take this warning seriously and they think it won't happen to them.

Most organizations that use parliamentary procedures have adopted Roberts Rules of Order, due to the fact that it would be near impossible (or at the very least not worth it) to create your own. The revised edition is much easier to use.

I'm just looking for some input here regarding fire departments' rules of order for business meetings. I am well aware of Robert's (who I'm convinced was on major drugs!), but what about those of you that have created your own rules of order? Are ...

Kimberly and Tigger, It's not just the "good ol' boys" that are guilty of avoiding rehab. I tend to avoid rehab or admitting to exhaustion and overheating. I guess I don't want to be the first one to rehab. Our guys aren't in fantastic shape, but ...

To exercise, or not to exercise ~ Reformation of a computer chair potato?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have been very sedentary this winter. I've been a near complete computer chair potato. I always feel very run down and frequently depressed. I started a new night turn job in the fall that has been challenging.
I'm weak, overweight and out of shape. I think there may be a link between all of the aforementioned facts. Fortunately, despite not taking good enough care of my body, I am healthy with no illnesses or infirmities.

Thanks for your comments.
It is a constant battle, but when I think of how I felt and how I feel now, it's a no-brainer.
My last check up sealed the deal.
Doc said I was in excellent shape in every respect.
However; for some strange reason, my "iron" was low, so I am taking a supplement.
So, welcome to the world of ChiefReason.

My e-mail isn't working right, so I have to reply here. Ya, he was the shorter guy with the silver curly hair. Those guys hung out at our station for quite a while after the class was over, and we just bs'd with them and get to know them pretty well.

I can completely relate. The same thing happened to me. Older dog passed on and got a new puppy. It's a good thing they are so cute when they are little. I never got more than 4 hours of sleep a night for the first 9 months! Be patient and I'm sure you will have her trained in no time. :-)
