- I'm 19, have been on CFD for 5 months now, and have absolutely fallen in love with the adrenaline, the action, and the feeling of completion after a good call. I start my EMT-B course in July, and am planning to be a full time firefighter/EMT. Am currently finishing up my Associates Degrees in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies.

- In my area, the most serious problem we have is that we do not have enough personnel. We have names, but people do not actually show up for training meetings, go on calls, or further their training.

- Just checking in and seeing how things are going. I was recently promoted to Captain on my department. The same day I got my first call as a Captain. I was covering for the day and we had a roll over. When we got out there, their was a lady and a little kid that had been in the car. Come to find out the lady was 4 times over the legal limit of alcohol and she was driving with a little boy in the car. It really made me mad.

- We had two over the weekend. I was gone for both of them though. They were only little grass fires that started out as controlled burns that people lost controll over. Nothing big. I was on my way to a fire class in Northern Idaho for the weekend. Well Take Care and Most of all Be Safe.
