About Me:
After high school spent 6 yrs. in the Navy on tincans (USS Stribling DD-867 & USS Mitscher DDG-35) in the early 70s as a ping jockey. Worked as alarm service technician and then moved into telephone interconnect side before taking the civil service test for fire driver.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Lack of volunteers, attitude of "youngsters" vs "old timers"
I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
You can plan for it but you never know whats going to happen next.

I think everyone needs to look at the big picture its a "VOLUNTEER" department. I would never turn help down. If they want to run EMS so be it. If they are forced to fight fire and freez up people can get hurt or killed.
