No, sorry didn't know him. I misunderstood you about living in WV, thought were still here. But no offense taken at all. I know a lot of people in our State can act a little clanish. Stay safe.

Julie, Glad to have you as a friend. So where did you move from? As for West Viginians not liking Yankee's, just remember that we open up after we get to know you. WV's a great State, but due to a lot of "outsiders" crap, we "hold our cards close to the vest", if you know what I mean. Do you run with the Fayetteville VFD? I've taught several Fire classes at the FCo. Fire school in the past, but it has been years ago. Do you live in town? I've got some very good friends on Main Steet, Porter and Mary Virginia Lewis. Every body in Fayetteville know them, the locals that is. Anyway, welcome to WV, Fire Nation and the Fire Service. I've been in it for 25 years, so it get's in your blood and never leaves. Stay Safe. Mike

Hi Julie it is so easy.I have trade with so many honest firefighters in the USA and Canada. According to the stamps on the envelopes it cost about 1 - 2 dollars from the USA to me here in south africa. Just put the patch in a envelope and send it to:

JJ Barnard
P O Box 4267
Aston Bay 6332
Jeffreys Bay
Eastern Cape
South Africa

thats all. if you wants to trade with me you give me your
address and I will send you one as well. The only thing
in patch trade is faith, honest and believe. be safe JJ

After 15 years in the service, there is one thing I know will NEVER change. That is "CHANGE". It happens. We get new equipment, new duties, new skills, etc.... Some of it good, some of it bad. But if we had not tried new things throughout the hist...

Ya. Onetime I saw a police car trying to pull out code 3 and nobody stopped. Exactly like your situation. Allow me to ask you this, did this incident effect your response time to the station? I know you were held up but did you still make the call?
