I am thankful for the opportunity to have served on a volunteer fire department (something most 18 year-olds haven’t done) and for the opportunity to attend College in January and for the experience I have gained as a firefighter.

Top Issues Facing Responders:
On my volunteer fire department i find that we face a few issues that affect our emergency response time.

1. Either responding to the station or to the scene in our personal vehicles (we are unrecognized, we need some sort of adequate lighting system as well as audible noise)

2.We have 3 trucks and two of them are single cabs only room for 2 people, we need trucks with room for a crew of at least five
