- "Brother, when you weep for me, Remember, that it was meant to be. Lay me down and when you leave, Remember ill be at your sleeve.
In every dark and choking hall, ill be there as you slowly crawl. On every roof in driving snow, ill hold your coat and you will know. In cellars hot with searing heat, at windows where a gate you meet, in closets where young children hide, you know ill be there at your side.
The house from which i now respond, it overstaffed with heroes gone. Men who answered one last bell, did the job and did it well.
As firemen, we understand, that death's a card dealt in our hand a card we hope we never play, but one we hold there anyway.
That card is something we ignore, as we crawl across a weakened floor. For we know that we're the only prayer, for anyone that might be there.
So remember, as you wipe your tears, the joy i know throughout the years, as i did the job i loved to do, i pray that thought will see you through. Also its a family thing: Older brother was firefighter for 37 years, my youngest son has been on for 1 year, 1 nephew just retired with 25 years, 1 nephew retired with 15 years, 3 nephews still on the department, and 1 nephew that is a member of the LeMars Fire Dept., 6 cousins that served and 2 are still on the department.

- Hi Jon a few other guys I also have send some patches and I asked them several times if they recieved it with no reply. 1. Bill Ericman (07/08/09) 1 patch ( 27/09/09) 3 patches
2. Wampa 26/08/09 1 patch. I ask them for a trade so I send them the patches. As I said I asked them a few times if they got it but for one or the other reason they did not answer me back. Well I feel not guilty because I send them and I did not got something back. have a nice day. greetings from south africa

- Hi Jon how are you doing my friend. I did a honest trade with him some time ago. So I send him another patch without asking because i believe and trust him. Up to date he did not send me one back but that is not the end of the world. I can live with that. May be he thought something else and for sure I did not want to be part of bad feelings. I will send him another one just to let him know I have nothing against him. May be you can ask him what the story is before you do a trade with him.I send him a few emails but he did not reply, I am that kind of person. I believe and trust anyone. there are a few persons I have send some patches and they tell me that they did not got it. in that case I send another bunch of patches. if they lie they lie to themself and to GOD. Well enough of that. Do what you think is right. As I said I did not want to be part of bad story's and feelings. Have a great time. greetings from south africa
