Well it looks like we are headed for about 14,700-15,000. We did about 14,800 last year. Last day I worked we were at 7889 at least that was that last run report I entered.

Sound to me as if you guys need to have some better definitions in your next contract. It may take a new contract to resolve this issue. If you can get an incentive (either a pay bonus or something like choice of assignments or paid attendence at ...

If it's part of a job description, it's going to be tough to argue that a member can quit the team. If it is not part of a job description, it falls into the more nebulous area of a department order. Does your state or your department define what...

In my paid department we have a Level A Hazmat Response Team - in house. I guess you could call it volunteer but the positions are paid via weekly incentive pay. You have to apply and appointed. There are 30 on the team of 47. Is your hazmat team...

Another reason to hate the Dodgers...

As if I needed another reason to hate them, now they pick up Ramirez. He is a whinning, slacking infection on every team he plays on. So my only hope is he will infect LA also. The fact that he played for Boston gives me another reason to root against him. Hopefully both LA and Boston will be watching come playoff time.....

IAFF #333 Kicks Butt.

After winning just 2 times in the regular season, The IAFF local 333 (Springfield, Ohio), ran the table in the city softball tournament last weekend winning 5 staight games only to lose in a heart breaker in the championship 10-9. Sorry, my post was interupted with a call. I should've read back through it. I am going through the College Network- Excelsior College in Albany NY is the associated college I will get my degree from.
I know of two people who completed it this year. Each had different opinions of it and how demanding it was.
Thus far, my experience has been good, but staying motivated becomes difficult.

Hey there. I am going to continue to argue the point with the know-it-all about the discrimination. She may be a paralegal but she doesn't know her elbow from a tree stump on this.

I would have to go with B & C, well if you were going to advance a attack line up a ladder, you wouldn't want to charge it and loose your balance, and you could use a ladder strap for securing the hose to rungs while you advance up the ladder so y...
