My Training:
All basic firefighter skills, including SCBA, RTC, Haz Subs and chemical. My current station has a specialist rope rescue response unit, and has just been highlighted to become a water rescue station as well next year.
About Me:
I have been based at my current station now for 18 months and it is great being back at the station where I did my initial training as a probationary Firefighter. I joined in 1998 at my local volunteer station where I live, and then in 2001, I was selected to join the full time service in my county. I love living in one of the most beautiful parts of the uk.
Side Jobs or Other Organizations:
I assist with a localised medical support company that provides medical cover for motorsport and horse events. I am able to utilise my responder skills in many different areas than I would normally.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Local political situations between fire and ambulance, when involving the joint working as responders.
I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
It is the best job in the world ... The feeling of gratitude when you help, the adrenaline, the respects of others and the most important .... Being part of the family that all of us have become around the world.

A group for those who have a love for two wheels and the open road. Harley, Honda, Victory, Yamaha; it doesn't matter. Share your stories. Let us know about bike events. Maybe we'll meet somewhere along the way. Art
