About Me:
When I was 5, I can remember spending summer days with my Dad down at the fire station. I grew up around firefighters and it was all I wanted to do. Later on, in my teens I got into partying and all the crap that goes along with it. After high school I decided I needed to join the Marines to get my s**t straight. I got out of the Marines in 2000 and ended up missing the military life so I joined the Army Nat'l Guard and got on full time, the money was great so spent the next seven years flying around in the back of CH-47 Chinook helicopters. When I deployed to Afghanistan my helicopter got shot down and my best friend was killed I realized that you only have one chance in life, I decided that I was going to follow my childhood dream and become a firefighter, now I can not imagine doing anything else. I work full-time as a civilian firefighter for the Wisconsin Air National Guard. I enjoy ARFF because it is something different, every call has new and different challenges.
Side Jobs or Other Organizations:
AMVETS (life member)
Disabled American Veterans
American Red Cross
Wisconsin Firefighters Association
Wisconsin Emergency Medical Services Association
I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
I get the chance to make a difference, no matter how small... Plus, what kid dose'nt like playing with fire trucks.
