- In 1976 I had a burning desire in my heart to help people. I read in the newspaper where our community was going to organize a vol. Fire Department. This was my chance. I started 32 years ago and I love it today more than I did that first time I put on those turnouts. My blood is Fire Engine Red,

- About Me:
- I started my career in 1976 as a firefighter. I was elected Lt. after a few years. I worked my way through the ranks, Captain, Asst. Chief then in 1983 I was asked to take Fire Chief. I held that position until 1986. Stepped down to a fire fighter, Next I was ask to take a Captain of a Company, there I stayed until 2005. I had t a knee replacement and started our present web-site with the help of Firehouse Solutions and Ron Raley. I now am Web- site Admin. as well as Fire Photographer. I am also a dispatcher with Carolinas Fire Page and do articles for Fire News.net.
