Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
It was a calling and was lucky enough to start when I was 14 years old. I hung out at the firehouse with my dad helping to raise money for our volunteer department fund raisers. It's where I learned to really cook after hanging out with all the great ladies and men who made the food for the dinners.

About Me:
Like just about everyone else here, an ordinary single dad who does on occasion extraordinary things. Love having the greatest job in the world and love learning new stuff eveyday and interacting with the people we serve and wouldn't have it any other way!

Started as a jr. firefighter in 1985 @ the age of 14 in South Central PA. Joined the Air Force in 1991 as a Fire Protection Specialist. Joined North Star VFD in 1993 to present and in 1999 became a DOD Civilian firefighter in Alaska.
Day Job:
Chief cook and bottle washer, chaeuffer, single dad...the usual stuff but I do it in the "Last Frontier"

Professional Recreationist
I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
Many are called few are chosen...Greatest Job on earth!!!
