I will be sending a pkg. of Information to your chief in June so stay in touch with him. Andrew Storie said… - thanks. it's a 1966 ford. it's the oldest pumper that was in service in our county and our second out pumper. it has a front mount pump and you could sit on the bumper and pump while you drive so we used it for grass fires sometimes. but recently the pump took a crap and its hard to find parts for a 66' so we had to take it out of service. its our parade truck now. but i'm not kidding you when i say i would put the pump up against any brand new fire truck. its one heck of a pumper.

Sergeant 8 Timmy Sprouse said… - hello Frederick my name is Timmy Sprouse im the sergeant for craigsville volunteer fire dept and the best thing you could do to become a member is go to the fire house and talk to your chief. As far as going on calls all departments are different you will need to talk to the chief about that. In our dept you can go to the scene but you have to stay with the apperatus nd with our company you need to be 16yrs old to be a junior firefighter

Jim said… - Best thing to do is hang out at your local Fire house. If allowed then as stated become a Jr. FF. til the watch listen and learn.. Trust me once you get into it you will love it. Been doing it for 25 years and still love it...
