LT,
ever since i can remember, i've wanted to be a firefighter. i joined the military back in 2002, and got suckered into a REALLY crappy job, otherwise i would've gone fire/crash rescue. i've joined a volly house near my home duty station, and i now know i was meant to do this. i've never had a fire in me for anything like i do now.
my question is this. what do i have to do to make myself a desirable candidate for the BCFD? i get out in 2011 (june), so i have a lot of prep time, but i want them to say "we NEED that guy!!"
any pointer's you could give would be really great.
thanks,
Nick.
p.s. - anyone else that has any useful tips, i'm ALWAYS interested. first thing i learned when i joined...listen to EVERYONE, because they're guaranteed to know at least one thing you don't.
Thanks for the sweet words....it's been almost one year already, this month has been a bit hard on me, but I am doing fine, since my crew is fabulous! Hope to talk to you soon, and thanks for the add! Stay safe out there!
Mari
