I wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions
In the end I purchase a source hydration pack
Could you wear a standard Camelbak (or similar system) under your shirt/jacket, with the tube sticking out? If so, it could save you some money by not having to purchase a fire resistant unit.

All of that plastic packaging is really bad for the environment.

i keep a couple of 20oz bottles of water in my turn-outs. that sure will help if you need water.

In Australia all the mandatory equipment is carry on the truck, so their really no need for a wildland pack.
I think the Aussie hydration pack is available in the US but why don’t you send an email to forest systems to find out
