I've seen junior/explorers riding with PD however they all have signed waviers to do so... how many fire explorer/junior programs require them? IMO due to liability no juniors should ride in an emergency response, definately can NOT perform entry,...

Call me crazy, but venting would definately have to wait. If the first arriving engine crew has already hooked into water, done the 360, and prepared for an interior attack, then imo they have already committed to their plan of action. So the next...

I have to actually sit down and go through files at home to pull up some of my old drivers training stuff. Couple of points I wanted to hit quickly though.... 1. A CDL isn't always necessary, however, I would suggest that the prospective (future)...

The ultimate group for Truck Company brothers: if you know LOVERS PLUS isn't a dirty movie, if your knuckles drag, or if you got leather boots because they gave you better footing on the rungs, this place is for you.

Stephen, Talk to Chief Kirkwood at Wake EMS. He would probably be a good place to start. Chief Skip Kirkwood, MS, JD, EMT-P, EFO 919-856-6026 Skip.Kirkwood@co.wake.nc.us contact info is off the wake EMS website, so I can't speak for it's accuracy

Hi how's it going.... not alot of wildfires where I am at the moment as its too wet, going to be a huge fire season and busy when everything eventually drys out. Havent had anything too big up here since around November when we did storm clean up in Brisbane... Been keeping busy however with the fire fighter games/championships - it was on the weekend... Not sure if you have them where you are but Its basically a competition where you show off your skills and drills against other teams... It was a fantastic weekend had by all. Bit tired now though!!!! Stay safe

This question would probably do better being posted on the JEMS sister site but I havn't gotten around to creating an account there so I'm posting it here. Yesterday I had one of our newer firefighters ask me if it was ok to use adult AED pads on...

Ummm... yeah. I'm a little confused about what you want us to say here. If you want my opinion about freelancing on a fire-scene, then ask me "whats your opinion about freelancing on a fire-scene?" And I can tell you in one short sentence-- Its st...
