Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
Got tired of standing around,watching and wishing I could do something to help. One time in particular: I came across an MVA roll over. I was first on scene and was useless to help the lady. That's when I felt it.

The Chief plans to handle them the same way you spoke about. There is allways some "politcal" issues within the dept. Mandatory Physicals weed a few out. They just refused to take them. It is a touchy thing to do, someone finds a way to go thought he loop holes. I guess it is not fool proof if it was only a fool would be safe.
