- Response to how I ended up in Oz...The wife (from Potomac) came here to pursue a Phd, I thought I'd come over to keep an eye on her. Now we don't want to leave! Wonderful country. Great food, beaches, beer. The landscape is beautiful exept for the bits that are poisonouse, trying to eat you, full of venom, or on fire.
