- I joined the service because it was something i had always joked about with my mom as a child. Then some how my father became a member of the local fire board due to his endeavors with the township. They were looking for members and of course i had to give it a try. I loved it, there is nothing like that rush felt when running into a structure with nothing but the hose between you and the fire.
