A 12' length of 36" PVC pipe is what we use, we had it given to us by the Highway Dept.
Our chiefs are pretty good at being at most of the incidents, but if not we have line officers who do just as well...
We have about 65+ active members and 3 stations, everyone has a pager, and every call we get the roof sirens on all three houses go off. Man they still sound great...

It's a great asset to add, our 911 center has been sending text messages to our phones for about two years now. When you leave your fire pager home you still know whats going on anywhere.

I was an early bloomer. Puberty was hell. ;)
I dont quite think you know small town politics. If these subjects where reported to the local authorities the chiefs wife would be the one booking them in. Oh and the sherriff is his best friend.
