- Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
- I had the most amazing boyfriend, he had been around this service all of his life. Started when he was 16 and was getting ready to turn 40 when he left. Everyday he tought me something new and amazing about the FF service... I was truly proud of his accomplishments especially in the last year and half, picking up his life-starting over.....making captain in the department. Along with making captain he had taken over the Junior program for Mitchell. The Juniors there are a great bunch and can't wait to see how they progress in this service---- They went to U of I for fire college and just wowed everyone there. Even though are time together -ended...I still admire him for being apart of this....
I have always admired the men and women in the field but being closer to it now, I can't express how I feel. You are all truly amazing people!

Things have been crazy busy around here between work and the FD. I'm doing much better, staring to return to my usual normal ornery self.
Just hoping spring starts soon. The weather is getting better all the time, but it could be much warmer.
Well, hadn't give you a shout in a while so I thought I would.
