Chad, that`s the reality of the job. We have some regulars we take in several times a month. For the most part they don`t really have anything wrong with them. Now, some do. In fact, I`d rather take the PIA person to the ER 10 times a month as long as they actually have a medical issue, than blow them off and say they don`t need to go then find out later they died. Yes, it gets annoying. If someone cannot care for themselves and that is why they callEMS all the time. It may be time to report them to the state. It`s a fine line between our PIA and the pt`s rights to care.
