About Me:
I LOVE BOTH MY JOBS OF FIREFIGHTER AND EMS. UNFORTUNALLY MO DOESN'T RECOGNIZE EMT-I, BUT IA DID. I TAKE/GET INTO AS MUCH TRAINING AS I CAN... ALWAYS INTERESTED FIREFIGHTING AND EMS. I AM PROUD OF MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND WOULD LOVE TO BECOME A PARAMEDIC SOMEDAY. RIGHT NOW I HAVE 2 CHILDREN, KEVIN - 14 AND ALISON - 11, THAT NEED ME MORE THAN MY GOING BACK TO SCHOOL. SOME DAY I HOPE, A BIG GOAL FOR MYSELF.. I LOVE WHAT I DO AND I HOLD MY HEAD UP HIGH WHEN I AM DOING MY JOB. MY SON HOPES TO BECOME HIS MOM, ONE OF THESE DAYS.. BEST OF LUCK TO HIM...
Day Job:
EMS/ FIREFIGHTER
Top Issues Facing Responders:
KEEPING PEOPLE IN THE RURAL AREAS, SUCH AS THE ONE THAT I LIVE IN.. OUR CLOSEST HOSPITAL IS 40 MIN. AWAY AND THEIR ARE A TOTAL OF 8 EMPLOYEES, 2 MEDICS, 6 EMTS. WE DON'T MAKE AS MUCH AS THE CITIES DO, BUT WE MANAGE. BUT AS THE KIDS GROW UP IN SMALL TOWNS AND SEE HOW HARD THE HATFIELDS AND MC COYS AND BE ON A PERSON AT TIMES AND THE RUMORS THAT FLY ABOUT EVERYTHING, ESPECIALLY IF THEY BLAME YOU FOR THE LOSE OF A LOVED ONE EVEN THOUGH YOU DONE EVERYTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE. ITS TOUGH IN THE RURAL AREAS, PROBABLY EVERY WHERE..
I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:
IT IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL OCCUPATION TO BE PROUD OF!!!!

Hope things are going well in southern Missouri. It's been a little warm here, but fairly quiet on the fire front. Have a great weekend.
