How about the use of ranks. My county use military ranks for officers in both police and fire. The highest rank is Colonel for Chief and they wear Eagles on their sholders while the badge has bugles. I guess the safety director has the star on his...

Along with the fact that, we shed blood for eachother die for eachother. Some wear vests and some carry guns, along with we get to use power tools and save lives

- 9/11 Patch Project: Began this project in December of 2001 to create a lasting tribute to the FDNY in the form of a uniform patch. The program went on to last over 6 years with 5000 organizations in 22 different countries participating. Thousands of dollars were raised and donated to:
- UFA Widows and Children's Fund
- Terry Farrell Scholarship Fund
- Espiranza Firefighters Fund
- San Antonio Burned Out Survivors
