I know with most classes your Instructor will provide a schedule and a syllabus when the class starts.

First of all good luck i just finished my I & II in May we had fourth edition. It does vary by state though and i am in Michigan. Just practice your ropes & knots faithfully, for some reason that was the hardest part for me. Good luck though!

Brad, check with you Indiana state Fire Authority. I dont know how it works in your state but here there is a state training agency that ultimately oversees or certifies firefighters and they are responsible to provide the curriculum for the class...

When I was 18 I got on the local volunteer department and was there for about 5 years. In 96 I was hired in New Castle. I worked there for about 5.5 years. In 2002 I left NC and went to Muncie Fire. I have been there for almost 7 years.

Thanks for that. I need the enchourgement sometimes. It's hard to find depts that are hiring around Indiana. I have been looking around our surrounding states but most of them require me to have the certs from their state so it makes it difficult. Hope all is going well for you in Muncie. If they have a process starting up anytime soon please let me know. Thanks
